The Ministry of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) in

collaboration with the Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) hosted  the 35th Assembly of Parties of the International Telecommunications Satellite Organization (ITSO) from 3rd to 6th July, 2012. It was chaired by Hon. Ruhakana Rugunda (Dr.) who is the Minister for ICT in Uganda.  

ITSO (International Telecommunications Satellite Organization) is an Intergovernmental Organization with the mission to ensure that Intelsat, Ltd. provides public telecommunications services, including voice, data and video, on a global and non-discriminatory basis.
